The earliest known human settlement here is Old Oswestry which is one of the best preserved hill forts in the UK, meaning it the name “The Stonehenge of The Iron Age Period”. The camp was started up again in 1939 for Royal Military training. Park Hall is now residential and industrial land. Park Hall Farm is a visitor attraction and has a museum of the Welsh guards.
