Escort and Client: Take Steps to Stay Safe

Goldsmith's cheques bounced, and at Caernarfon Crown Court he was jailed for committing fraud. He tried to excuse his behaviour by suggesting he'd suffered trauma after losing his parents “while also living with several personality disorders.” While the judge noted his plea, the judge Her Honour Nicola Saffman insisted people working as escorts deserved protection. Sentencing

In her sentencing of Goldsmith, she said there had been multiple victims, a number of offences that involved drugs. The newspaper therefore reports that she said in her summation: “I'm satisfied you do suffer not from one mental disorder but from several mental disorders, the most difficult of which are personality-based disorders." Despite this, she told his that he deserved to go to prison. 

Michael Nathan Goldsmith, of Beaumaris Road, Menai Bridge, confessed to having obtained service dishonestly, admitted “two breaches of a criminal behaviour order and possessing Class B and Class C drugs,” write The Mirror's journalists who add:

“She jailed Goldsmith for three years for breaching a criminal behaviour order, plus three years concurrently for a similar offence. And she imprisoned him for two years and six months, to run consecutively, for obtaining services dishonestly, and a further two years and six months for a similar offence to be served concurrently. There was no further penalty for the drugs offences.”

He has also been banned from making payment for the services and goods of escorts and prostitutes by cheque for a period of 10 years. Other conditions were also imposed upon him. North Wales Police therefore welcomed the verdict as Goldsmith had ignored orders to prohibiting him for paying for sexual services by cheque for substantial amounts of money despite not having the funds to honour the payments. It is also hoped that the sentencing will change Goldsmith's behaviour. 

North Wales Police's spokesperson added: “However, we will be making every effort to inform the relevant online communities and websites so that they are able to protect themselves from any potential future offences of this type."

The client perspective

That's an example of where escorts were impacted physically, psychologically, emotionally, financially, and sexually. However, the clients of escorts also need to protect themselves.
